Run a 16-bit SDR as an always-on network receiver for 13 simultaneous listeners—or stream up to 64 MHz of HF spectrum to your PC for recording, analysis, and custom DSP.
Web-888 serves 13 independent receiver and waterfall sessions at once.
RX-888 can stream up to 64 MHz of real-time bandwidth over USB 3.0.
Both platforms build on the LTC2208 ADC and a proven wideband RF design.
Study the software, firmware, schematics, measurements, and design decisions.
One RF foundation, two architectures
The important difference is not a specification on a box. It is your operating model: let Web-888 process and serve signals at the radio, or let RX-888 deliver wideband samples to the software and compute power on your desk.
Connect an antenna, power, and Ethernet. Web-888 handles RF sampling, digital downconversion, decoding, and user access in one compact appliance—without a companion PC.
RX-888 MKII streams 16-bit samples over USB 3.0 and lets desktop software do the heavy lifting. See more spectrum at once, record it, revisit it, and shape the DSP workflow around your work.
Choose by the job
Both receivers cover far more than casual tuning. The right choice depends on what needs to happen after the signal reaches the antenna.
Choose Web-888 for remote stations, shared club receivers, browser access, multi-band skimming, and unattended decoding without a dedicated host computer.
Choose RX-888 MKII for panoramic HF monitoring, IQ recording, signal analysis, custom DSP, and applications that benefit from direct access to sample data.
Choose either platform when you value documented RF paths, inspectable software, practical measurements, and room to modify the system around your station.
Documentation hub
Start quickly with guided setup, then go as deep as you need into operation, measurements, FPGA design, software, and station hardware.
Prepare power, storage, networking, and the tools needed for first boot.
Install the driver, connect your receiver, and begin using supported SDR software.
Experience the Web-888 interface from a browser before choosing hardware.
Review Web-888 specifications, architecture, interfaces, and RF capabilities.
Find the software, firmware, drivers, and design lineage behind RX-888.
Explore antennas, filters, GPS-disciplined clocking, and companion projects.
Open engineering
These receivers come with the information needed to evaluate the architecture, understand its tradeoffs, maintain a station, and make informed modifications.
Published test procedures and results show how receiver performance is evaluated.
RF, FPGA, interfaces, firmware, and operating guides explain how the system works.
Open repositories, update channels, troubleshooting, and practical guides support long-term use.
The deciding question
Choose Web-888 when the receiver should stay online and serve people or decoders. Choose RX-888 MKII when wideband samples should land directly on your computer.
