Web-888 Transmitter Addon

Motivation

Web-888 has the antenna connector which was reserved for external clock output. The connector is directly connected with CLK2 of Si5351.

Based on multiple sources on Internet, the output of Si5351 can be used to transmit CW, or FSK signals. It can be very interesting functionality to convert Web-888 from a pure receiver to a transmitter with some additional circuits. We need build an addon device which can switch the antenna between Rx and Tx, a reasonable PA, and a set of LPF.

Hardware Spec

• IRF510 and TI gate driver base PA to produce 5W output
• LPF covers from all HAM bands 7Mhz to 50MHz, and 144Mhz,
• Power supply with 12V input, and output 5V to power Web-888

Software

• Web-888 Beacon Addon

This is integrated into original Web-888 software. You can configure the addon device through Web-888 UI to support CW and WSPR beacon.

• Web based All bands WSJTX like interface

This is a web based interface to support FT8 operation over this addon device. It can monitor all the FT8 bands in one single view and transmit FT8 message to response any bands.
