Accessing Web-888 SDR
Accessing Web-888 SDR
Via Hostname
After flashing the official system image from the Web-888 SDR Project onto the TF card and powering on the device, it will automatically connect to your network. To access the Web-888 SDR, enter the following address into the browser of a device located on the same local network. This is the recommended method for connecting to your Web-888.
http://web-888.local:8073
Your browser will automatically resolve this hostname to the corresponding IP address, allowing you to access the Web-888 SDR interface.
Info
The hostname web-888.local is broadcast using the Bonjour protocol. Most modern operating systems have built-in support for this protocol.
Via IP Address
If you have multiple Web-888 SDR devices on the same local network, you'll need to access each device by its specific IP address.
Tips
You can configure a different hostname via Advanced Configuration.
To find the IP address of your Web-888:
- Install and run Advanced IP Scanner
- Scan your local network for devices
- Locate the IP address associated with the hostname web-888.local
- Enter the following address in your browser (using 10.10.10.132 as an example):
http://10.10.10.132:8073
Your browser will connect directly to the Web-888 SDR via its IP address.
Generally speaking, the IP address assigned by your router's DHCP server will remain consistent, but you can also assign specific IP addresses to multiple Web-888 SDR devices using your router's configuration features.
Browser Compatibility
Some browsers have compatibility issues that can cause problems such as audio underruns, incorrect spectrum display, or non-functional extensions.
It is strongly recommended to avoid using the following browsers:
- Internet Explorer
- 360 Secure Browser
- UC Browser
- Sogou Browser
- Baidu Browser
- QQ Browser
For the best experience, use modern browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari.
